Aruna is a final year student at the Media studies program of Kathmandu University. The fellowship also acts as her undergraduate internship project.
Bidhya is a journalist based in Kathmandu. She reports on investigative stories and in-depth features on women, children, human rights, good governance, political issues and new media. She writes about her personal experiences and opinion in her blog Bidhya Rai.
Deepa Shrestha, originally from Manebhanjyang, Sankhuwa Sava, is a freelance photographer, currently based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Her works are mostly conceptual and personal, and depicts deeper human emotions and experience. When she is not photographing self-expression, Deepa likes to raise questions on environmental issues and problems through photos.

Sikuma Rai is a visual storyteller and an aspiring documentary filmmaker, based in Lalitpur, Nepal. She has been practicing media since the age of 18 and has been in multimedia journalism specifically for the past three years. She is inclined towards learning more about women and culture, and women’s personal stories on struggle and success. “अरक चाना बानाओ, सीम्मा [Come over for a drink, kanchhi, (2020)]” is her first documentary.
